Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1½ cup white chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- ¼ cup matcha green tea powder
- ½ tsp almond extract
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup almond slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8×8 baking pan.
- In a large microwave safe bowl, combine the butter and 1 cup of the white chocolate chips until melted and smooth. I did so by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring and checking on it each time. Pour melted buttery, chocolatey goodness into the bowl of a stand mixer. Set aside and let cool for a few minutes.
- Next, add eggs and matcha powder to the bowl and stir on low until combined.
- Add flour, almond, and vanilla extract and keep mixing until just until incorporated.
- Fold in almonds and white chocolate chips.
- Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and spread it into an even layer.
- Bake until edges are lightly browned, about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Set pan on a wire rack to cool.
- Cut and enjoy!
Notes
If you’re new to matcha or want your brownies on the sweeter side, consider adding ¼ to ½ cup sugar.
