Green Tea Face Masks Recipes
If you love green tea and want to have clearer skin, then you should try the following green tea recipes.
Plain Green Tea
Put a tablespoon of green tea into a small bowl and mix it with a few drops of water, just enough to make it creamy in consistency. Gently scrub it onto your skin, paying particular attention to problem areas. Leave it for 5-10 minutes before washing it away with cold water.
This plain mask is effective in reducing inflammation, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, slow the aging of your skin, and protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Sweet and Sour Green Tea
Here’s what you will need for this mask:
Green tea
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
½ tbsp. lemon juice
Brew a cup of green tea, using twice as much as you would normally use. Let the leaves or bags soak for a good hour, making sure the liquid is cool. Remove the bags and mix in the sugar and lemon juice. Apply on your skin using circular motions, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water afterwards.
The granulated sugar in this mixture will exfoliate your skin while the lemon juice will help fade blemishes and scars. Used regularly, it will make your skin look and feel younger with its smoothness, softness, and glow.
Green Tea, Baking Soda, and Honey
A sticky mixture that all skin types will love, this mask requires the following:
1 tbsp. green tea
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. honey
Mix the green tea and baking soda before adding the honey. Whip it all together and spread it evenly on your face. If the mixture is too sticky, add a few drops of water.
The baking soda in this mask will detoxify your skin as it sloughs away dead skin cells and dirt built-up. On the other hand, the honey will moisturize, rejuvenate, and tighten your skin.
